No Title: 6 Pendants and 3 Rings, all made from copper alloys make up this series. Inlayed either in silver or 24 karat gold, each jewel has a unique symbol relating to the construction and use of paper plane. This theme of passivity emanates from the symbols that challenges a wider context by considering the negative impact of hypersensitivity in a politically aware environment.
No Title: 6 Penjolls i 3 Anells, tots fets amb aliatges de coure, conformen aquesta sèrie. Amb incrustacions de plata i/o d'or de 24 quirats, cada joia té un disseny únic relacionat amb la construcció i l'ús de l'avió de paper. Aquest tema emana dels símbols que desafien un context més ampli en considerar l'impacte negatiu d'una creixent hipersensibilitat en el nostre entorn polític i social.
Based in Copenhagen, Kim Buck is a skilful goldsmith and maker. He is highly influenced by the technical processes which he works on meticulous. A theme of his work is that these technical processes inform the meaning behind his outputs. By doing this, he expands the framework of how jewellery can be worn and the message it can convey, as well as expressing his opinion on the modern world.
Amb seu a Copenhaguen, Kim Buck és un orfebre i fabricant hàbil. Està molt influenciat pels processos tècnics en els quals treballa meticulosament. Un tema del seu treball és que aquests processos tècnics informin sobre el significat dels seus resultats. Buck reconeix el valor de la joieria i l'utilitza com a vector per comentar el que l'envolta. Amb això, amplia el marc de com es poden portar les joies i el missatge que poden transmetre, a més d'expressar la seva opinió sobre el món modern.
