A TALE
OF MULTIPLE
WORLDS

SYNTHESIS POSSIBILITIES ON COLOURS
AND PRECIOUSNESS

13 Nov - 23 Dec 2024

at HANNAH GALLERY
BARCELONA

Synthesis and Possibilities on Colours and Preciousness, que es presentarà a Hannah Gallery Barcelona.

Thirty-five pieces, seven shades, and five artists, Sara Barbanti, Gigi Mariani, Itto Mishima, Fumiki Taguchi, Yoko Takirai, and Pietro Pellitteri, explore the theme of color and its creative potential. This is the proposal for the exhibition A Tale of Multiple Worlds. Synthesis and Possibilities on Colours and Preciousness, which will be presented at Hannah Gallery Barcelona.

The works are based on shades initially studied by the Greek philosopher Aristotle and later scientifically explained by Isaac Newton. The colors reveal stories, curiosity, and memory. A Tale of Multiple Worlds aims to emphasize the synthesis and possibilities that colors offer within a group of artists who either did not traditionally use pigments/colors in their artistic practice or did so only marginally.

Colors have been part of humanity since the beginning. As jewelry, they convey all kinds of messages, they relate to the body, power, religion, art, love, life, and death. As jewelry, colors connect to social history, anthropology, science, religion, politics, and art. As jewelry, they are linked to the meaning we give to artifacts. As jewelry, colors are both metaphors and messages. Art, jewelry, and colors are filled with stories and leitmotifs—they are stories, memories, and journeys.

Nichka Marobin, Exhibition Curator.
