Hannah Gallery by Klimt02 presents its first exhibition of 2026 with a solo show by Hannah Offermann, the winner of the 2025 New Talents Award presented by Klimt02. This award, decided by an international jury of industry professionals, recognises the work of outstanding recent graduates and supports their early professional development.

Offermann’s series on view, Armor and how it forges relationships, investigates the concept of armor not only as a physical safeguard but as a structure of relationships and meaning. The jury highlighted the clarity and coherence of her proposal—from initial drawings and patterns to the final presence of the pieces—and noted how the work operates with equal strength both on the body and as autonomous objects.

Made with materials such as copper and para-aramid thread (Kevlar), Offermann’s pieces act simultaneously as extensions of the body and as independent forms. Her work engages traditionally opposing concepts—fragility and resilience, protection and exposure, subject and object—inviting viewers to reconsider how the forms that surround us can forge relationships between bodily experience, symbolic apparatus, and aesthetic presence.

As Offermann states:
My work primarily centres on interpersonal interactions, emotions and the way the psyche responds to different situations. I am fascinated by human interaction, both with other people and with ourselves. What influences us, and how can we improve our interactions with one another? My work aims to support us in learning and growing together, thereby contributing to positive social interaction.

This exhibition represents a pivotal moment in Offermann’s artistic development, offering a rare opportunity to engage closely with her practice and to consider how armor can serve as a compelling metaphor for our relationships with the world, with the self, and with the systems of meaning that shape us.

Hannah Gallery by Klimt02 inaugura el programa 2026 amb una exposició individual de Hannah Offermann, guanyadora del New Talents Award 2025 concedit per Klimt02. El premi, atorgat per un jurat internacional de professionals del sector, reconeix graduats destacats i dona suport al desenvolupament inicial de la seva trajectòria professional.

La sèrie presentada, Armor and how it forges relationships, investiga l’armadura no només com a dispositiu de protecció física, sinó com a estructura de relacions i significat. El jurat va destacar la claredat i coherència de la seva proposta, des dels dibuixos i patrons inicials fins a la presència final de les peces, i va subratllar com el treball opera amb la mateixa força tant sobre el cos com com a objectes autònoms.

Treballant amb materials com el coure i el fil de para-aramida (Kevlar), Offermann crea peces que funcionen simultàniament com a extensions corporals i com a formes independents. La seva pràctica posa en diàleg conceptes tradicionalment oposats, fragilitat i resistència, protecció i exposició, subjecte i objecte,  convidant-nos a reconsiderar com les formes que ens envolten poden forjar relacions entre experiència corporal, dispositiu simbòlic i presència estètica.

Tal com afirma l’artista:
La meva feina se centra principalment en les interaccions interpersonals, les emocions i la manera com la psique respon a diferents situacions. Em fascina la interacció humana, tant amb altres persones com amb nosaltres mateixos. Què ens influeix i com podem millorar les nostres interaccions? El meu treball pretén ajudar-nos a aprendre i créixer junts, contribuint així a una interacció social positiva.

Aquesta exposició marca un moment significatiu en la trajectòria d’Offermann i ofereix l’oportunitat d’apropar-se a una pràctica que situa l’armadura com una metàfora potent de les nostres relacions, amb el món, amb nosaltres mateixos i amb els sistemes de significat que ens configuren.
